With Letters from Lt. Gerald E. Miller to Lt. Rose Landsman

Lt. Gerard E. Miller – A pilot commissioned in 1941, he flew throughout WWII earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, and seven Air Medals before rising to command the U.S. Sixth Fleet as a vice admiral later in his career.

Lt. Rose Landsman – In April 1945 she joined the 801st Medical Air Evacuation Squadron, flying into remote jungle airstrips to evacuate wounded personnel; she later served as a member of the WWII Flight Nurses Association and the American Legion.
